Finding Your USP

A lot of affiliate marketers deem that offering an item that is being vendored by numerous- if not millions- of their fellow associates will make matters much more difficult for them.  After all, they will be battling for the same patron.  They will be promoting the same product.  And the demand for the goods is never vast.

This, however, is the wrong way of thinking.

Even if you will be competing with 10 million associates, you can still come out on top.

It’s termed the USP, a short form for one of the most important arms in advertising: the unique selling proposition.

The unique selling proposition, as you can very well  tell, is composed of three terms: 1) unique; 2) selling; and 3) proposition.

The USP should be unique, signifies, it should be something that you - and YOU ONLY- will be staging.  No one else should promote for the same thought.  Nobody else should atrract the public with the same model.

The ultimate focus of the USP is to sell, to obtain an income.  Often, you will have to spend for the USP.  Then again, you should make sure that a profitable ROI would be carried out.  Affiliate marketing is an enterprise.  You shouldn’t be wasting funds.

The USP is a plan, an offer, something that you will impart to your target market.  Hence, the USP should be something they will find tempting.  The USP should be one thing that will be hard for them to refuse.

If you will show your affiliate goods with a wonderful USP, people will decide to buy from you rather than purchasing from other affiliates promoting the same item.

Organizing your own USP is actually a fun course.  All you have to accomplish is to procure deviations to your deal that your target audience will surely like.  Below are some examples of established USPs:

-    Enclosing the affiliate piece with the colleague’s own articles;
-    Providing rebates, which will be taken from the cut that the affiliate will be given to;
-    Giving out forthcoming discounts which can be carried by the commission the member will be given to;

-    Providing membership to an private social establishment that will be given some benefits.
